As the original Masters of the Universe toyline was coming to its end, the look and feel of the figures became less barbaric in nature and more science fiction inspired; a tendency that ultimately culminated in the early ‘90s He-Man toyline also known as The New Adventures of He-Man as a TV show. Japan saw the end of what is known as the “beast era” in Transformers when most heroes turned back to their vehicle forms in an all new reboot known as Car Robots 2000, also imported in the US as Transformers, Robots in Diguise. Followed by the Unicron Trilogy, Animated and now Transformers Prime, both toys and TV shows of Transformers are still extremely popular among fans!

The Masterpiece line has seen some of the best representations of every fan’s all time favorites. Highly articulated, full of action features and G1 show accurate deluxe heroes and villains should be on every collector’s shelf. While not show accurate like their bigger Masterpiece brothers, the Alternators or Binaltech Transformers are no less a spectacle to the eyes.
